I'm officially done working at the VTH!!!
My last shift was this Tuesday night, however I didnt really get a break after that because I was in to Old Home Week with 8 Angus cows!!
I have been working on a string of 8 cows for a friend of a friend these past couple of weeks, working on them after work and between shifts, getting them ready for the show. We took2 heifer calves, 3 bull calves, a yearling, a two year old, and a mature cow. Two of the 3 bull calves were on the cows.
The show was Friday, but we took them in on Thursday and they got to go home on Saturday. Bill and Mary did really well. No one in the string got lower than 3rd place, and they took 1st in the breeders herd, 2nd in the get of sire, and 3rd in the prodgeny class, while also taking premiere breeder and premiere exhibitor!
Saturday evening I asked a few friends to come over for a little "party"... I guess it was bad timing though because a lot of people couldnt make it. One of my most favourite people in the whole world came though, and his name is DALE!!!!!!! THANK YOU DALE AND CONNIE FOR COMING TO MY PARTY!!!!!!
Sunday my family and I drove to west to visit with my grandmother in the mannor, my grandfather, my aunt and uncle, and my cousins new house.
Today, believe it or not, Ive spent most of the day packing. Ive just updated my tomtom GPS and my MP3 player is all charged up, as is my phone. Need to make a few CD's, and get a few more things packed away and thats that!
My mom and I are going to see "Stan Rogers- A Matter of Heart" tonight at the MacKenzie Theater in Charlottetown. We love folk music- and we love Stan!!
And thennnnnnnn......Tomorrow morning at SIX AM my dad and I are Alberta bound! We'll be driving 18 hours straight until we get to Huntsville Ontario to my Aunt and Uncle's home.
Ill make sure to take lots of pictures of the trip and update as often as I can!! But for now...
Happy traillllllllllllllls to Me!
